Exposing Hubris

What can I say, I’m going gray.

There are times when I look in the mirror and sigh.

My mind races, WHO ARE YOU? What have you done with the YOUNG blonde with LONG hair?

Pause. The divisive dialog continues...

You are worried about your looks when the world's falling a part? People have gone mad, and fear has become their ruler. What's your problem?!?

Pause.

Oh, and another thing...who’s going to want you, now?

The judgmental mind never quits. It projects, makes up stories, and "thinks" its right. It feeds on vanity and has no mercy. Don’t embrace the dialog.

In order to “Be The Change,” we must learn how to manage it versus allowing it to manage us.

Hiding or putting ourselves down is not humble. Rather, it's the mind's way of inferring that God makes trash.

Does God make trash?

Shhh...Let the roadrunner (your thoughts) race on by, and breathe into the powerful humility within.

-F. Braver

“I open myself genuinely to all people by being willing to fully communicate my deepest feelings, since hiding in any degree keeps me stuck in my illusion of separateness from other people.” -Ken Keyes, Jr.
